Celebrate American Heart Month and Valentine’s Day by joining the “Love for Healthy Hearts” campaign throughout February.
A Valentine’s gift of $14 (or more) before, on or after February 14 will help the Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation raise funds to purchase state-of-the-art fitness equipment for cardiac patients.
Foundation Director Charanjit “CJ” Singh notes, “Every year during February we reflect on the impact of heart disease while at the same celebrating our loved ones on Valentine’s Day. We’re encouraging everyone to honor both by participating in ‘Love for Healthy Hearts.’”
“With emphasis on a $14 Valentine’s gift we hope to expand community participation in the Foundation’s work,” he added. “And, we are grateful to Paul James Jewelers in Angels Camp for including us in their Februaru 11 Grand Opening celebration. Part of every sale will go to ‘Love for Health Hearts.’”
Paul Coca, owner of the Angels Camp business, explains, “We love Calaveras County, and as a business are devoted to giving back to our community in any way we can. By supporting ‘Love for Healthy Hearts’ we can help radiate hope for those who struggle with heart disease.”
Funds raised by the “Love for Healthy Hearts campaign will help the Foundation acquire T6 PRO Recumbent Cross Trainers used in cardiac rehab situations and to help anyone looking to improve their heart health.
