Angels Camp Family Medical Center in Angels Camp Gets $2.3M Funding from Hospital Foundation

Bob Diehl and Ryan RogersOn Tuesday, February 7th Bob Diehl, MTMC President, CEO and Ryan Rogers, Dignity Health Real Estate Planning, Design & Construction Area Manager braved the wet weather to do a site visit with local and regional contractors interested in bidding the $7.6 Million Angels Camp Family Medical Center project in Angels Camp.

The facility will include general family practice, women’s health, laboratory and space for future expansion of imaging and psychiatric services. With six physician offices, a fully equipped procedure room and 14 exam rooms the building will be approximately 9,700 square feet and fully compliant with the OSHPD-3 (Office of Statewide Planning and Development) building code. The medical center will be built on Stanislaus Avenue next door to Froggy’s Auto Wash & Lube in Angels Camp. Included in the project is the construction of a stop light at Hwy 49 and Stanislaus Avenue. The construction budget is $7.6 million.

Mark Twain Medical Center Foundation (MTMCF) Board of Directors showed their confidence in the project timeline with a renewal of philanthropic commitment totaling $2.3 million. “The Foundation, along with the many individual donors to the Angels Camp Medical Center, are pleased to see the long-awaited project begin. The generosity of individuals was instrumental in the Foundation being able to meet our commitment and we look forward to seeing the impact of the generosity on the health of the community,” commented Gregory Jordan, President of MTMCF.
